Hi Tim, well done you. I saw this blog link whilst my hubby was on pasoti too – well he saw it and called me over.

I too am doing this challenge, its a great cause. I used towork at the spinal unit in Stanmore where the chairty is based.

You are way ahead of me in the lengths I’ve got only a 20metre pool, and the first week maanged to do about 250 lengths, then like you got a stinker of a cold, good ol hygienic swimming pools and have only done another 120 since then.

Great blog – keep it up, I’m not that clever to do one and let all my mates know – just bombarded them with txts.

I am very proud of you attempting this huge challenge especially after the difficulties of learning to swim! Expect a cheque towards your target from me. I hope your students will help. Keep going and appreciate the help of your lovely wife and daughters.Love from Mum.

    Hi Tim

Tried to do this the other day and obviously failed – that’s what becomes of being a silver surfer with little knowledge of the internet and things. However, Keith and I as your inlaws are very proud at what you are doing and knowing you there is no possibility of you failing. You have the kind of determination that will ensure this. We think that it is great that someone like yourself who has such a hectic lifestyle can take up a challenge like this – you make me feel ashamed that I am not that energetic. Keep up the good work and we will watch your progress daily. Have got your website on my favourites so can track you easily. All the best Keith & Ann

Just read of my success in winning the limerick award and am currently composing my acceptance speech. Having been overlooked for the Booker Prize for so many years I am unable to express how fulfilled I now feel at winning a far superior literary award. Indeed, a trip to the pub tonight for some ale is obligatory. To drink or not to drink…that’s not a question.
Finally, I hope the City of Plymouth does the decent thing and awards you the freedom of “the locker”, “the parking space” and “the lane” upon culmination of your epic venture.
